Like any other destination, you can discover the country in different ways - you travel as suits your personality, and I, therefore, think that Bali is such a suitable island for every kind of traveler.
For example, I chose to take my laptop with me and move my office in drizzly Amsterdam to a sunny destination with charming, inspiring coffee shops with powerful internet Canggu was my place to be. 5 places to visit when you are in Bali
1. Sidemen
If you want to get a taste of the undiscovered Bali, go to Sidemen! From Canggu, it is about a 1.5-hour drive (if you leave early in the morning), and you will pass through small idyllic villages, beautiful rice fields, and you get to see how locals live. Don't expect wifi hotspots and cute boutiques, go for nature walks along the rice fields, or explore small roads by motorbike and eat in local warungs.
2. Ubud
To be honest, the first time I visited Ubud I was a bit in shock. The serene, spiritual place I had in mind suddenly turned out to be so touristy.
But I am convinced that if you are open to see the beauty around you, beautiful things will happen. So I started to walk a lot, I searched for beautiful places on the internet, and I got up very early to visit nature parks. And wow, that moment the sun rises up and dazzles over the rice paddies like a magical glow, you forget about tourists and see the beauty that Ubud has to offer.

3. Canggu
Canggu is a place where many of my favorite holiday elements come together. Think Surf, good food, plenty of hotspots, laid back vibes, and friendly folk. Although Canggu is presumably nothing like it was seven years ago, it's still a place I wouldn't miss when you're going to Bali. 4. Nusa Penida
